Titans predicted to sign Pro Bowl center this offseason to replace Lloyd Cushenberry!

The Tennessee Titans are set to undergo a major roster overhaul this offseason, and starting center Lloyd Cushenberry could be one of the players out the door.

Though Cushenberry hasn’t been awful this year, the 28-year-old hasn’t lived up to his contract. Cushenberry signed a four-year, $50 million deal with the Titans during the 2024 offseason and has $14.2 million cap hit this year.

In 11 games in 2025, Cushenberry has allowed five sacks and 21 quarterback pressures with a 54.6 PFF run-blocking grade. Tennessee can definitely find an upgrade at center to protect the interior for quarterback Cam Ward and open up rush lanes.

Additionally, cutting Cushenberry could save the Titans $8 million this offseason, assuming they designate him as a post-June 1st cut.

Moving on from Cushenberry makes sense, but Tennessee must make sure they have a plan to replace him and improve at center. CBS Sports predicts general manager Mike Borgonzi is going to make a splash at the position in 2026 free agency.

CBS Sports predicts Titans will sign Ravens Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum

Linderbaum is slated to be one of the top players on the open market this offseason. Since entering the league as a first-round pick with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022, Linderbaum has established himself as one of the best centers in football.

After not allowing a single sack in 2023 and 2024, Linderbaum has allowed two sacks and 18 quarterback pressures this season. However, the 25-year-old is still playing at a high level and has the potential to develop further as an elite offensive lineman.

If Linderbaum hits the market, he should be a premier Titans target. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin predicts Tennessee will end up signing the reliable center, beating out contenders like the Detroit Lions, Ravens, and even the Titans’ rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to Over the Cap, Tennessee is set to boast around $108 million in cap space. That number will change, but in conclusion, it’s safe to say that the team should have enough money to sign Linderbaum.

Spotrac currently projects Linderbaum’s market value to be at $17.4 million per year, which would make him the second-highest paid center in football, only behind Creed Humphrey of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Paying Linderbaum over $17 million annually over multiple years would be a massive investment, but one that would be worth it. The franchise must do all it can to give Cam Ward a chance to succeed, and bringing in a Pro Bowl center who could ascend into an All-Pro would be a logical move.

Overall, if Baltimore doesn’t re-sign Linderbaum and he hits the market, the Titans should scramble to sign him and upgrade at center over the underwhelming Cushenberry.
